It has a native data storage capacity of 20GB which can be expanded up to 80GB when compressed. It uses a mid-point load dual hub system in which the tape rides on a cushion of air that virtually eliminates friction between the tape and guides, enabling the fastest search speeds of any tape storage system. The Imation 91270 tape cartridge uses Polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) as substrate and with internal cartridge guiding the tape never leaves the cartridge for improved data integrity.
