And because Travan technology drives can read QIC mini cartridges, your existing backup library is still useful. Travan technology allows you to select a high-performance backup system without sacrificing your budget. It has offered a lower cost per gigabyte than comparable alternative solutions. Imation offers TR-1 45456 Mini Data Cartridge for use with Travan technology drives, with a storage capacity of 400GB in native mode and 800GB with data compression. Travan is magnetic tape technology developed by 3M Corporation that allows for higher data densities. Travan has been standardized by the QIC consortium, and is backward compatible with older QIC standards.
