The sophisticated tape tension servo control system and low-contact head guide assembly’s gentle tape path, contributes to the long life of the tape. DLT IV Data Cartridge – Reliable, high-capacity storage, long archival life and greater transfer speed. DLT IV Data Cartridge has a new dimension in maximum capacity storage. The DLT IV Data Cartridge has high capacity storage and archiving needs of mid-range systems, network servers and high-end Workstations. Compressed capacity of up to 80GB on a single tape combined with continuous transfer speeds of 6MB/second provide the performance essential to data-intensive applications. DL4TK88 is the medium-small range tape used most commonly in large organizations that manufactured by Sony. Sony part# DL4TK88 A single DLT TapeIV cartridge has a native capacity of 40GB (up to 80GB compressed), and a data transfer rate of 5MB/s(up to 10MB/s compressed) using the top-end DLT8000 drive. Adaptive cache buffering, multiple heads, longitudinal serpentine tracks, and high tape speed contribute to this outstanding performance.
